Sycamore Church was planted in 2014 in response to a burden God gave us to help a people and a generation longing to see Jesus.
We held our first event – an outreach service- on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014; and began Sunday morning services on May 25th, 2014, at the Cooperative Hall, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
Starting out with just a handful of young men and women, with very limited (or no) resource – but with what we strongly believed to be a burden from God – the Church has steadily and gracefully grown in membership, in structure, in impact and in reach.
Two years on, we’ve had over a hundred recorded decisions for Jesus documented at our Sunday morning services, various outreaches emanating out of our church have spread across various communities and cadres of people, and we’ve been tremendously blessed to see so many lives changed through Jesus-connections.
Every mask off! No performances. We constantly strive to give God, ourselves and our community the gift of sincerity
We do this because we love God, we love people and we love the Church. Otherwise, we don’t do it!
We believe we’re a part of something bigger than us
It’s not a performance. It’s a heart that constantly wants to give our best, and we appreciate its relativity per time
